Your Digital Key to Singapore Services

Singpass is Singapore’s national digital identity. With the Singpass app on your phone, you can access over 2,000 services — checking your CPF balance, making HDB appointments, viewing medical records, and more.

Setting up the Singpass app

  1. Download the Singpass app from the Play Store or App Store (it is free).
  2. Open the app and tap Set up Singpass app.
  3. Enter your NRIC number and the password you use to log in to Singpass.
  4. If you do not have a Singpass account, visit singpass.gov.sg or any SingPost branch to register.
  5. Set up Face Verification or a 6-digit PIN when prompted.

Logging in to government services with Singpass

Instead of remembering different passwords for different websites:

  1. Visit any government service website (e.g., cpf.gov.sg, hdb.gov.sg).
  2. Tap Login with Singpass.
  3. Open the Singpass app on your phone.
  4. Scan the QR code shown on the website, or enter your Singpass ID and password.
  5. Confirm with Face Verification or your PIN.

You are now logged in securely.

What you can do with Singpass

  • CPF — check your balance, make withdrawals, update contact details
  • HDB — book appointments, check your flat information
  • HealthHub — view your medical records, vaccination history, and upcoming appointments
  • IRAS — file your income tax, check your tax balance
  • NS Portal — for reservists to manage NS matters
  • My Legacy — plan end-of-life matters including advance care planning

Singpass Face Verification

Many services let you verify your identity using your face via Singpass. This replaces filling in long forms.

Example: Opening a bank account, signing up for a new telco plan, or applying for ComCare benefits — all can be done quickly using Singpass Face Verification.

Keeping your Singpass secure

  • Never share your Singpass password, PIN, or OTP with anyone.
  • Enable Two-Step Verification (2FA) — this is already required for all Singpass users.
  • If you suspect someone is using your Singpass, call the Singpass helpline immediately: 6335 3533.
  • Download ScamShield to block scam calls that may try to steal your Singpass details.
