With Singpass on your phone, you can handle many official tasks without queuing at government offices. Here is a guide to the most useful services.

What you need first

  • The Singpass app installed and set up (see the “Using Singpass on Your Phone” guide)
  • A stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection

What you can do online:

  • Check your flat details and remaining lease
  • Make appointments at HDB Hub
  • Apply for HDB home loans or grants

  • Check on your tax refund status

Most employed Singaporeans do not need to file separately — IRAS uses data from your employer. You just need to review and confirm.

myInfo — Pre-fill Forms Automatically

When you apply for almost any government service, look for the “Retrieve myInfo with Singpass” button. This automatically fills in your personal details (name, NRIC, address, income, CPF) from government records — saving you time and reducing errors.

Tips for smooth online transactions

  • Use your phone or computer at home with a stable Wi-Fi connection.
  • Have your NRIC number handy.
  • Allow the Singpass app to use Face Verification for quick login.
  • Keep the Singpass app updated for the latest security features.
  • If a website says “temporarily unavailable”, try again during off-peak hours (not Monday mornings).
